Would you like to start the new school year with fun and fabulous pictures and videos of your students? Let SchoolInfo help! You have the chance to receive a free phone-operated drone from us. There are a couple of different ways you can enter to win a selfie drone for your school or district.
First, you might be wondering what a selfie drone even is and how it works. Selfie drones are smaller drones that help people take selfies without having to use a selfie stick. It’s a really cool way to get great pictures of your school and impress your students. These portable drones can take quality photos and videos in selfie mode without requiring you to know advanced quadcopter controls. They are controlled by a smartphone and allow you to get pictures that you wouldn't normally be able to do on your own.
We’re not asking for much to enter the giveaway, just to help us spread the word about SchoolInfo. You can enter to win a free selfie drone in two different ways. You can either send a video telling us what you love about your school app or refer another school or district to SchoolInfo. Double your chances by entering both ways!
Submit a Video
Do you love your school’s app? Well, create a video explaining what you love about it and share it with us and you can receive a free selfie drone for your school!
At SchoolInfo we love working with each and every one of our clients. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Because of your loyalty, we are assuming you feel the same way. We would love to hear from you to find out what you love about SchoolInfo’s digital communications services. We are giving away a special prize to a lucky winner who submits a video telling us what they love about SchoolInfo!
All you need to do is create and submit a video testimonial featuring you, your staff, and/or your families talking about why you love your app. The first 5 people to submit a video will be sent a selfie drone!
Sample questions to answer in the video:
- What was life like before SchoolInfo? What pains were you experiencing?
- What made you choose SchoolInfo?
- How has this made a difference in your school?
- What has surprised you most about the experience?
- What is your favorite feature?
Here are a few tips to make a great video:
- Smile!
- Clean your lens, a soft cloth can be helpful to safely clean the lens.
- Use the back lens on a smartphone or tablet, not the selfie lens.
- Use a Bluetooth microphone for better sound. If that’s not possible, keep the camera within 3′ of the subject.
- Shoot in landscape (horizontal) orientation, not portrait (vertical.)
- Use a tripod. If you don’t have one, let a friend hold the camera for you; don’t hold it yourself.
- Look into the camera lens, not at the person who’s holding the phone. (Unless you want to appear interview-style.)
- Pick a quiet location with minimal background noise.
- Try to find an interesting setting. Avoid standing in front of a blank wall if possible.
- Pick a well-lit spot and do not shoot against a window or other bright background.
- Be aware of your surroundings and what’s in your shot. Remove anything that will be distracting.
- When recording, wait a beat before you start speaking and after you're done before cutting. Your editor will thank you.
This isn’t just for us either! Use the video to promote your parent communication app. Share this video on your website and on social media to increase downloads and usage in your community.
Refer a Colleague
Another easy way to enter to win a free selfie drone is to refer SchoolInfo to another school or district. You can win this fun gadget on top of the benefits you already get when you refer someone who becomes a customer. Drones will be sent to the first 5 individuals whose referrals sign a contract with us by the end of August!

It's simple! All you have to do is talk us up every chance you get to your colleagues at other schools and districts. Show off your digital communication suite and brag about how it's revolutionizing communications for your school or district. When someone expresses interest and wants to learn more, fill out the form on our website and we'll take it from there. For anyone you refer, that signs up to get our products or services for their school or district, you'll earn rewards on top of the chance to win a free selfie drone.
