Feature Focus: Calendar

Keeping track of your own schedule can be hard enough. Now adding the entire school calendar plus all of the individual teams and clubs’ schedules sounds like a lot of work, right? Not with SchoolInfo!

One of SchoolInfo’s core features is the calendar. Our organization was founded by two parents who know firsthand how difficult it can be to keep track of all their kids’ different school activities. With SchoolInfo, every event and activity can be easily accessed on your school's parent communication app. Not only does it keep administrators organized, but the calendar feature is beneficial for all stakeholders. Everyone from teachers, administrators, students, parents, and the surrounding community can access the calendar right from their phones.

Interactive calendars allow users to view events and subscribe to your school or district’s calendars. You can include calendars for general events, athletic teams, parent groups, and student clubs. Calendars can be sent to our Content Management team in any format if manual entry is required or set up for automated importing and updating from a 3rd party calendar system that supports iCal.

Other benefits include:

  • Increase parent engagement at events
  • Ability to sync either the full calendar or individual events to personal calendars on any smartphone
  • Save staff and social media organizers time by being able to quickly check for upcoming events
  • Save time by eliminating calls from parents about upcoming events
  • With secured access, certain content can be restricted to staff or other specific groups only
